Wendy K. Swenson-Davis has over 19 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience encompassing all aspects of drug development of both small molecules and biologics. She has extensive experience in expediting lead molecules into and through clinical development. Her business focuses on helping companies design and implement drug development plans that meet both corporate and scientific objectives as well as regulatory requirements. As an independent consultant, she has managed numerous projects that have resulted in successful regulatory filings as well as the completion of clinical studies through Phase 3. She has managed development projects in a number of therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, oncology, ocular, vaccines, infectious disease, and transplantation.
Prior to starting her consulting business in 1995, Dr. Swenson held positions within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry including: Senior Director, Project Management and Preclinical Development, Glycomed Inc. (now Ligand Pharmaceuticals), Project Director, Cetus Corporation (now Chiron Corporation) and Research Scientist, Smith Kline Beecham (now Glaxo-Smith-Kline). Dr. Swenson received her B.A. from Cornell University in Chemistry and History and her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry at the University of California, Davis.
